Privacy policy

The short version: no accounts, your preferences stay on your device, the football data we show is already public in the official game, and analytics are the standard kind. The long version follows, written to be actually readable.
Who we are
FPL Rivals (fplrivals.co.uk) is an independent fantasy football analytics website operated from the United Kingdom. For anything in this policy, use the contact form.
What we don't collect
There are no accounts. We never ask for your name, email, password, date of birth, or payment details to use the site. You can use every core feature without telling us who you are.
What stays on your device
Preferences — your saved team, pinned rivalries, recently compared teams, and similar settings — are stored in your browser's local storage, on your device. They are not uploaded to our servers and we can't see them. Clearing your browser data removes them.
The football data we process
The teams, manager names, points and league standings shown on FPL Rivals come from the official Fantasy Premier League game, which publishes this data publicly for every registered team. We index and cache this public game data on our servers so that search and comparisons work quickly. We do not add private information to it — everything we show is visible in the official game itself.
If you would prefer your team not to appear in our search index, send your team ID via the contact form and we'll remove it.
Analytics
We use two analytics services to understand how the site is used, in aggregate:
- Google Analytics — may set cookies and processes technical data such as IP address, device and browser type. Google's own privacy policy applies to its processing.
- Plausible Analytics — a privacy-focused, cookieless service that collects aggregate usage data only.
Where consent is required for analytics cookies, you'll be asked via a consent banner and can refuse without losing any functionality.
Advertising
We may show advertising served by Google AdSense to keep the site free. When ads are enabled, Google and its certified partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads; where required, ads will only be personalised with your consent, and you can opt for non-personalised ads. We block gambling and betting advertising categories on this site as a matter of policy.
Server logs and security
Like almost every website, our servers keep short-lived technical logs (IP address, request path, timestamps) for security, abuse prevention and debugging. They are not used to profile visitors and are routinely discarded.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have rights over personal data we hold — including access, correction and erasure. Given how little we hold, the practical version is: use the contact form and we'll sort it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Children
FPL Rivals shows only public game data, has no accounts, no messaging, and no gambling content or gambling advertising. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, children included.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date above changes with it and significant changes will be noted on the site.
