From a name to a verdict
No account, no setup. Here's the whole journey — and what's happening under the bonnet at each step.
1 · Find any team by name
Type a manager's name, a team name, an FPL ID number, or just paste a team's FPL link. FPL Rivals keeps a search index covering the public teams in the game — millions of them — so the search bar behaves the way search should: type "Dave's Wanderers" and it appears. Every result is checked against the official game before it's shown, so you always land on the real, current team.
2 · The comparison report
Pick two teams and the report builds live from official game data. It covers the ground a proper argument needs:
- Head-to-head record — every gameweek this season scored as a match between you: wins, draws, streaks, and the all-time tally.
- Squads & captaincy — who you both own, who you don't share, armband decisions and what they cost or won.
- Season stats — rank journeys, bench points wasted, transfer hits, chip timing and how each chip actually paid off.
- Fixtures ahead — how each squad's coming fixtures compare, so the argument includes what happens next.
- The verdict — a winner, declared with receipts. It's presented as a story you can flick through like a highlights reel, or expand into the full report.
3 · Live matchday mode
During a gameweek the same report runs on live data: points as they land, bonus as it's projected, and live rank movement. The mini-league table becomes a ticker — you can watch a rivalry swing goal by goal.
4 · You vs The Algorithm
Before each deadline, the official game publishes its own expected points for every player. FPL Rivals captures those predictions at the deadline — they vanish afterwards — and then holds them to account: did the model's picks beat yours, or did your gut win? It's an honest scoreboard for the oldest FPL debate of all: stats versus instinct.
5 · Mini-leagues and rivalry memory
Open your mini-league and every member is one tap from a head-to-head. The site remembers the rivalries you compare on your device, tracks recurring matchups, and lets you pin the ones that matter so the grudge is always one tap away.
6 · Season archives
Finished seasons don't disappear. FPL Rivals preserves past-season data so a rivalry can be replayed gameweek by gameweek as it actually happened — the title race, the collapse, the comeback. History matters in a grudge.
Sharing
Everything worth arguing about becomes a card: head-to-head verdicts, gameweek episodes, season moments. Cards are generated as images sized for the group chat — screenshot-proof, name-checked, and designed to start trouble.
Accuracy, honestly stated
All data comes from the official Fantasy Premier League game. Live figures (projected bonus, live ranks) are estimates until the game finalises a gameweek — we label estimates as estimates. Where a number is derived (like reconstructed predictions for archived seasons), the site says so on the surface.
